Find your Z-ID

All students are given a Z-ID number when they apply to NIU. This number is used as your login/accountID and is permanent.
Find your Z-ID.

Change your Password to a Permanent Password

Your initial password is your date of birth in the form of YYYYMMDD. For example, if your birthday is March 2, 1986, your initial password is 19860302.
Change your initial password to a permanent password.

Student E-mail

NIU sends e-mail to your NIU mailbox. Go to webmail.students.niu.edu. Enter your Z-ID and permanent password.
